[Devlog #5] – New modular floor variants

I’m dropping another update for the Free Sci-Fi Corridors 1979 pack – this time it’s all about floors, four variants at once (27 pieces). On paper it’s just a detail, but it decides what kind of space the player ends up in: a sterile research section, a service strip over cable hell, or the main station route. The overall vibe is still that sterile, 79-style alien sci-fi: cold teal, clean shapes, zero visual noise.

I’ve added four modular surface types, all on the same grid with clean pivots, but each one sends a different, clear signal: sterile section, service, regular route, high-security:

  • Cleanroom tiles – densely cut tiles from the ship’s hygiene section.
  • Anti‑slip service grating – lattice deck for maintenance walkways where you can build pure cable hell underneath.
  • Plain deck plating –  calm, even surface for longer corridors where you care more about the character silhouette than what’s happening under their feet.
  • Reinforced framed deck –  floor with built-up edges, like the station’s spine with tech bands, meant for high-security zones.

Everything is modular and stays on the same grid, so you can quickly build crosses, turns and long stretches, then just
swap the floor type to change function and mood: the same layout can be a sterile med section, a service tunnel
or the main artery of the base.

If you’re missing a specific module (another corner, a bigger hub, a fifth floor type – flooded, damaged, exposed to vacuum), let me know. I treat these corridors as a living project that grows together with community feedback.
