Creator Bundle: Volume 1

LoFi PSX turns a Godot scene into a PlayStation 1 frame: coarse pixels, colours cut to steps, textures that slide on sloped surfaces and vertices that snap to a grid. Every effect sits on a panel in the editor, and the viewport answers while you drag the slider - there is no play mode to enter and no material to hook up by hand.

The pack ships with the environment it was built on: a dusk-lit roadside world of 79 models, a walking player with a torch, and a demo scene you can open and record straight away.

What it does

  • 24 controls on one panel, grouped as Look, Atmosphere and Flashlight - drag a slider and the editor viewport changes under the mouse
  • 4 presets carry the whole panel at once: OFF for a modern frame, SUBTLE, CONSOLE for the original hardware, NIGHTMARE for a coarse horror still
  • Day and night on one switch: sky, sun, ambient light, fog colour and the warm roadside lamps move together
  • A torch with a restless hand, a failing contact and four edge styles for the pool of light, from a hard circle to a ring of dots
  • Ground mist in three bands, each with its own strength, anchored to the ground under the camera instead of hanging below the eye
  • Profiles: save a set of values under a name and load it in another scene

Ultimate Godot Bundle

What is inside

  • the LoFi PSX add-on: 6 shaders and the editor panel, dropped into any Godot 4 project
  • 79 models with one 512 px texture atlas and 19 materials
  • a demo scene: road, bridge, fences, walls, rocks, dead trees and roadside lamps
  • a first-person player with a torch, head bob and step-up on kerbs

Contents by group

  • Look - 7 controls: preset, pixel size, texture warp, vertex jitter, grain, dot pattern, screen sway
  • Atmosphere - 12 controls: night, fog, distance colour and its range, spilled paint with its colour, split and bands, ground mist with three heights
  • Flashlight - 5 controls: on, restless hand, fault, beam radius, edge style
  • Models - 79 meshes: 20 fence parts, 19 wall parts, 10 road sections, 10 lamps and signs, 9 rocks, 8 props, 2 dead trees, 1 bridge

Technical

  • Godot 4.7 or newer, Forward+ renderer
  • the whole look runs on global shader parameters - one panel drives every material in the project at once
  • the screen pass renders at 360 px height by default and scales back up, so the cost stays the same whatever the window size
  • textures are never modified on disk - the shader samples them on a coarser grid
  • the world is built at three times human scale, the size the demo scene was measured at
