This update is for the Meadow and Forest Free Kit Pack – a forest/mountain environment set with around 250+ prefabs (trees, rocks, roads, fences, small props, terrain textures) aimed at RPG, cozy and light survival games. The focus this time is on the LOD system and collisions, so the pack is more game-ready out of the box without extra cleanup on your side.

Release notes (trimmed)

• Added missing prefabs for 25 environment meshes (bridges, roads, fences, trees and foliage), including the full Tree_0 group which previously existed only as raw FBX files.

• Improved the LOD system for trees (clearer quality distribution, lighter far-distance models) and added LODGroup components to 115 prefabs, including clouds, rocks, cliffs, road segments, foliage and bridges.

• Added several dozen collision shapes for medium, large and oversized objects.

• Widened 4 bridge variants to better fit a standard character size.

• Removed tangents from all meshes and normalised the scale of some objects (from 100 to 1), resulting in cleaner transforms and slightly lighter memory usage.

• Updated the project to Unity 2022.3 LTS (2022.3.62f3) as the verified version for this package.

Workflow & optimization

• Over 100 prefabs use consistent naming and clean pivots, making them ready for drag-and-drop level building without fixing origins by hand.

• Prefabs are organised into clear categories (trees, rocks, roads, fences, foliage), so you can quickly block out readable outdoor levels.

The demo scene has not been modified in this release – it will be fully rebuilt and expanded from scratch next week to showcase a complete, production-ready layout for valleys, passes and open vistas.

If you’re using the pack in prototypes or game jams, this update should help: you drop in the forest/mountains, rely on the improved LODs and collisions as your starting point, and don’t have to fight the technical setup before your actual gameplay even starts.
